I'm afraid that my list of favorites don't contain any currently produced stuff...my taste leans towards a 1946-vintage Winchester 75 Sporter, a 1913-produced Winchester 1906, and a 1910-made Remington 12A. Blued steel and walnut...no plastic or other synthetic go into my favorites.

I have a Nylon 66 and have a problem when I zero the rifle. I have a scope on it and after 3-4 rounds I get fliers. I let the rifle cool down between shots while I fire my muzzle loader. My shot groups are around 1 1/2 inches at 50 yards.
I have been using Remington solids and HP's

Any suggestions coments etc

Thanks

In 1965 as a young GI in Germany I decided to buy a .22 semi-auto rifle. Available at the post rod & gun club were three examples of .22 autos..a Ruger 10/22, a Remington nylon 66 and a Colt Courier.
looking them all over..the Colt seemed a bit too lightly constructed and the Remington gave me doubts as to the way the "receiver" cover was placed on the nylon body. I was concerned that if I were to clamp a scope onto the removable, stamped receiver cover..then R&R the cover..I would almost surely lose my zero..if I could even keep it on such a light stamping held, as I saw it , with about 4 imprecise screws.

Although the 10/22 was a brand new model by an infant company when it came to rifles, I was impressed with the magazine and believed there was a strong future for this particular rifle. As I recall the price was about $39.50..with PX discount.

I have never regretted my choice !

My 1970 100th anniversary marlin model 81 is my favorite, its got a gold trigger and the nicest tiger grain stock i ever saw on a marlin, its to bad i somehow lost the loading tube for it, My 880sq marlin is very accurate and shoots the cci quick shocks good, if you havnt tried that round on birds its very explosive, im ashamed to say niether have been shot much since i jumped on the hmr bandwagon.

Winchester 72A & Stevens 1915 Favorite. I have a Ruger 10/22 but I'm not impressed with the accuracy or the bad (horrible) trigger.

I felt the same way about my 10-22 so I gutted it.

While I do have a 10/22, I'd have to say my Marlin Golden 39A is my favorite. I've currently got it sighted in for CCI CB Longs.

thanks ironglow, I did all the work on it myself, it was a lot of fun. It is capable of way better accuracy than I will ever get out of it though.

Although I have several .22 rifles and am building up another 10/22 the one that is special is a Remington Mod. 12 that I learned to shoot with. My Dad started me out shooting with this rifle 64 years ago when I was 6 years old. It will go to my daughter when it is time.

30.06man, if you were asking me about pictures I don't have any. My computer skills consist of being able to turn it on and that's it.
