Cast bullet size
« on: November 08, 2005, 04:24:26 PM »
I have a 41 rem mag and just bought some cast bullets for it.  They measure .412 and my sierra bullets measure .410.  Do I need to size these bullets.  I have reloaded for many years but have never loaded cast bullets before.  They have a lube ring (I guess that is what it is called).  What do I need to do to use them.

Load em up and shoot em. The only time you would have problems is if the chamber won't take the larger diameter brass, which would be rare.

Whatcha shootin em in?
Thanks to you''uns from WNC,

Thanks for the help.  That worked great.  I haven't shot it, but did a load a few up to see if they fit.  I am shooting them in a Redhawk 41 rem mag.  I love to shoot it.  I am even going to carry it with me deer hunting this year.  Going to use a 170 gr JHP. I just need one to get within 50 yards and I will use it.  I would like to put a scope or reddot on it someday.
