They called from bass pro and my new knight disc elite 45cal is on its way,should be here friday. Just need to get some good glass for it. any suggestions? This is not my first m/l but is my first american made in-line. come on friday. in case anyone is interested they have these for 199.99 plus shipping.

I thought this was a friendly place I guess I was wrong. Just thought that I would share my enthusiasm about my new smoke pole and get some info on what the people here thought about it,and a decent scope. I don't post here often but I read the new post everyday!!!

I have used a 3-12burris black diamond, 4-16 nikon, and several 3x9's. The 3x9 is plenty for a muzzle loader.
I had a 3x9 zeiss conquest on my sidekick this year and was very pleased with it. The conquest has loads of eye relief. IMHO spend the money on the optics do not short change yourself. There is lots of good scopes out there. A nikon buckmaster would be good, a 3200 series B&L,..
Sounds like you have a nice muzzle loader coming

Thanks for the response McD, I am leaning towards a Nikon 3x9x40 on this rifle. By the way [Bimbo] I am not looking for anybody to kiss my but.

I upgraded my muzzleloader scope last year.  I wanted a good scope at a reasonable price.  I ended up going with the Simmons Aetec 2.8-10 x 44.  Its perfect for my muzzleloader.  I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg and its got great magnification and gathers a great amount of light.  I have the same scope on my 7mm Remington Mag.  I got the 1st one on sale for 99 bucks and the seond one I paid 120 bucks for on ebay.  You can probably find one for this price range if you look around.  Good luck.  P.S. - my guess is that many muzzleloader seaons are already over so this "room" is not getting as much traffic as it does before most seasons.  If you had asked this question a month ago I'm sure someone would have jumped on it immediately.  Hang in there.  You'll get good responses and great information here.  Greg

It is not that we are unfriendly, but myself, if I don't have experience with a certain weapon, I don't post much on it.

I am not a big Knight fan, I did have 2 of the older Knight 50 Cal disc rifles. I will stick with my Encores. I find it a lot simpler and less time consuming to clean a Encore over the Knight.  :D

But keep us informed on how you like your new M/L.  :D
