Mathews LEGACY Question?
« on: November 09, 2005, 01:49:07 PM »
Can anybody tell how the older Mathews Legacy is compared to the newer Mathews Lineup.  I know of a like new Legacy that I can get real cheap but would rather spend the money on ther newer Bows IF their that much better!!

Thanks

I had a Legacy for 3 years and this year switch to the Switchback. To tell you the truth, I can't tell much difference between the bows. My buddy that has my Legacy thinks it is a great bow. If given the choice now, I would go with a used Legacy and not get the newer bow unless you have your heart set on a new bow.

Got the Legacy today. It sure makes my old Hoyt Magnatec seem like a antique.

Congrats on the Mathews, let us know how you like it after you shot it. I think you will be happy.   :D

think you will be very happy with the legacy. i've been shooting one for three years now and am really impressed with the accuracy. (pretty sure it's the bow and not me!) the only difference with the switchback is it is a little shorter, which is nice in the woods but it's not by much, and i don't think it's any lighter. that's the only gripe i have with the matthews bows is the weight, but it's well worth it for the performance.
