Aw come on guys... I have the banner made up and everything... I'm going to do a "Wild Boar" issue, and here is the banner I already made... All I need now is for a few of you to send me some great boar hunting stories... Just email them to me at: drquick@accs.net   This is going to be a great issue... Well, I guess we could talk about a trip we had that was too hot. There was not a pig to be found in the usual places. We ended up walking the cane growing on the creek bottoms. The stuff is 6-10 feet tall and so thick that you can't see anything. We had guys spotting on the sides and covering the creek crossings. The pigs were in there but you couldn't see them to shoot. We could usually smell them before we spooked them out. Had one guy kick one while busting this stuff and another shot one point blank with a 300 Win Mag. He couldn't use his scope. Had to turn the gun sideways and sight down the side of the barrel. That is the short version. If you want a full rendition, I might find time to come up with something. The whole thing was a blast! My wife says I'm an idiot, though. I have another trip to a different ranch coming up in a month or so. I'll give you those specifics when I get back. Man, is this sport fun!

I'm going to "re-visit" this subject, because so far, I have not received any stories from y'all about your WILD WILD boar huntin' adventures. Remember, I am doing a whole issue of my magazine (July/Aug. edition) on boar hunting, and really need some stories. Don't worry about how well you write, just send away... I'll do any edition, spell checking etc. that needs to be done. This should really be a fun issue to do... all I need is a few "hair raisin' stories to add in there... I leave Thursday for our next trip. The bad news is the extended forecast shows nothing but rain. Either way, I'll have 2 for you the week after. I sent another in the meantime that is off topic, but maybe you can use it anyway. Good luck with it!
