T/C Firestorm Flintlock Trigger Adjustment
« on: March 05, 2003, 03:07:44 AM »
Can anyone offer some advice on what is involved in reducing the felt trigger pull on a T/C Flintlock?  My FireStorm measures at 9lbs, and the factory spec is 3 to 5 lbs.  I would think all it would take would be some polishing of the engaging surfaces to get some improvement.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I sent my FireStorm back to T/C in late January to have the trigger adjusted and a barrel corrosion problem looked at.  I just received it back with a replaced barrel, but the trigger was not touched.

Drop the hammer Do not touch the triggers yourself. If you mess them up you can void your warranty. What I would do is contact Fox Ridge outfitters. They are the people who do T/C's warranty work. They are in fact owned by T/C and located across the street from T/C. Explain to them you had just sent your rifle back for work but only part of that work was done. Tell them the trigger pull is unacceptable and that you want them to fix it to factory specs. Get an authorization from them and resend the rifle back to them. If that doesn't resolve the problem, call T/C themselves and ask to speak to someone in Customer Service and tell them what all you've done and that the problem isn't fixed to your satisfaction.
