I' another newbie. What a great forum. How do you find out about what's available from H&R? I see that this or that barrel is about gone but I never see them listed as available on the H&R website.

Also, has anyone converted their 30-30 to 30-40 Krag?

Hello and welcome to the forum. :D Info can be had directly by calling their customer service dept. @ 978-630-8220. I don't think they update their website on a daily basis.

On your question about the Krag conversion, I can't remember if anyone has or not, but you can (and I hate to ask you to do this) use the search feature at the top of the page and maybe get lucky there. Take care...

I have a 30-40 Krag barrel that was orginally a 30-30. I got it from mt3030. It shoots great. I plan to knock down a whitetail with it this season...

Welcome aboard, Jack Pine!! :D You can also email them to answer your questions, they usually will reply the following business day if not before. It's not a bad idea to give them your serial number to determine what can be fitted and ask about the availability of specific barrels, too. :wink:
