Has anybody out there used Crimson Grips for hunting? I am thinking about putting a pair on my S&W 686.

Not legal in my neck of the woods(Oregon) for big game anyway
I do know they work good for rattlesnakes though

Check your State laws before using the Lazer sights of any kind. In Michigan, they are considered an artifical light and will result in Loss of the firearm and a fine. Definatly NOT legal for hunting here.

Your question is a bit cryptic and I guess I'm unsure how to answer it really. First up laser sights are not legal for use for hunting in most states. Texas on hogs might be an exception. In most others I kinda doubt it.

Are you referring to the Crimson Trace Corporation CTC Laser Grips? If so, then yes I've tried them and they are available for your gun. They do work and work well and would be near ideal for night time hog hunting when and where legal with some caveats. Like any other sight they are dead on ONLY at one distance. You still need to know the distance and how high or low the bullet impacts from where the dot is at that distance.
