Length of Pull
« on: November 10, 2005, 03:15:25 PM »
What sort of length do you guys cut your stocks to? I realize it's personal preference but generally speaking do stocks set up for off-hand shooting usually have longer butts? I recently purchased a Nesika Hunter and am finding it a little awkward, but I'm not sure if I want to hack it just yet. It's definately a "different" feel with it's low toe and a high cheek-rest.

I set up my offhand guns with a lot longer length of pull than I would for a hunting rifle. I use about 13 1/2 for hunting and all round use, and 14 1/4 for silhouette. I'm 5' 10" tall, with fairly short arms and a long neck. Too short and I find myself trying to push my head back to get away from the scope and getting cramped up.
