A "war on terror"?

What happened to bringing the people responsible for the 9-11 attacks to justice?  That was the express condition for the issue of the congressional writ of reprisal, was it not?

I note with some interest that neither Mr. Bin Laden nor Mr. Al Zarqawi are in custody at this time, and the U.S. military seems highly involved in operations of conquest, occupation, and nation-building.  What they really want to do is replace the loss of Iran and the old Shah.

The US has been droppping bombs in Iraq since 1991, has been pouring money into Israel since the late 40's, and has been using Saudi Arabia for it's personal oil soaked lap dog since the '30s.  The Shah of Iran was a U.S. puppet.

And you think that terrorists "started it" on Sept 11, 2001?

 :)

I question whether there is anything either honorable or American about this "war on terror".

.
They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

FW
I do not question whether it is honorable. I think that, unquestionable, it is honorable.
I question if it has given any results other than costing American lives. I think that the same as Viet Nam it is being run by a bunch of political cluster F's, with out any conception of what they are doing or if they know what they are doing it is a very secret agenda.

PM;  I'm not saying that there's not a fight to be fought, I just wonder whether it cannot be fought on a basis that allows our country to fight an honorable fight and to be led by honorable men.

Why don't we drop the pretense and stop pretending that there is a "war on terror" and go straight to the hard truth?

There is no global "war on terror", what there is, is a global "war on freedom", and nobody is fighting for us.

The most visible part of it is being billed as "the war on terror", but what that really is, is the tussle to determine which tyrant will take the lead in enslaving the rest of humanity.  Politicians and warlords alike are knowingly using the lives of average people like poker chips in their globalist game to take over the world.

Which perverse philosophy will you be forced to serve?  You won't have a choice in the end.

IMO, neither of the several warring parties in this "war on terror" are "good guys".

Since I was small, I've heard a story about how Gen Black Jack Purshin handled the radical muslims in the philippines.  Seems sensible to me, It worked.  Yet others say it's insane, brutal, or inhuman.  Well is it anymore insane, brutal, or inhuman than whats been done in Iraq since this war started?

For those that are interested, what I heard was.  The radicals were getting high on opium and charging the americian lines.  After loosing many troops Gen Purshin lined up 50 captured radical muslims.  He had a pit dug and filled with the blood and carcases of many hogs.  Then he shot 49 of the radicals.  He sent the remaining survivor back with word that the same would happen from that point on to any more captured radicals.  Ended the insurgency.  People say times have changed, that would not work today.  Well does that mean times have changed for us and not them?  They are still praticing beheading like they did during the crusades.  Time seams to stand still for them, maybe it's their religion.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

It is good saga, true or not, but true or not it would probably not work today.
FW---I suspect that we have only begun to see terrorism at work in this world and in the USA.
