Beeman ss1000

Has anyone have any input one the Beeman 1000 rifles?There are sg,ss,sh models.I looking at one for hunting.I already have a .22 cal IAR that does 8XX fps.I was looking for the.177 cal models.Brian. :grin:

It's a Beeman import made in China.  Has a rated velocity of 850 to 1,000 fps.(don't expect to get that much though) in .177 caliber.  Some say it's a good buy, others have had problems with barrel crowns effecting accuracy and barrel droop.  I really don't care for break barrels anymore, I prefer under levers or side cockers so I can't help beyond what I have posted.  Lawdog

GS950 combo and a GS1000 beeman rifles for sale NIB (these are the slanish made beemans and quality is much better than the Chinese versions. the GS950 combo comes with iron sights and a 4x scope complete NIB for $125 plus shipping even a new gun warrenty from beeman. The GS1000 has only the iron sights but a slightly nicer stock and is selling for $139 plus shipping. Also NIB with a new gun warrenty and all paperwork. Ask for Ken on the forum.

While the GS and GH series are made in Spain by Norica Mfg., and are a better air rifles than the Sportsman series, there has still been a number of complaints about them.  The number one complaint I have heard is the crowns on the muzzles needing work.  Other complaints have been from too much plastic parts in areas where they should be metal and poor fit and finish.  I have heard enough complaints to keep me from ever purchasing one.  Lawdog
