I bought a pair of stainless .45s for $350.00 each. They are both in great shape and shoot where I point (can't ask much more that).  The main thing to do is check around since some peculiar souls seem to think they're worth their weight in gold (silver maybe).  Great guns, usually at a great price.  Good luck!  I'm looking for a pair of .357's now myself so let me know if you find a whole village of 'em.

I paid $525 for a pair of $357's.  There are a few on Guns America from $375 to $400 plus depending on custom work, caliber etc.
I am looking a a7.5" 44Mag in stainless with a Bolen action job for $435 delivered.   That puts it at about $395 locally plus sales tax.  Unfortunetly, there aren't any for sale in any of the SG stores or pawn shops that strike my fancy in that caliber.

Where are you in central Oregon?  Bend/Redmond?  Eugene?
You are under age so you parents will have to buy the gun for you.

You have a couple of options.

Your parents can take you to a local gun shop.  Ask the shop if they will order a gun "cost plus 10%". (Some will do it for less.  Some will even order for a $25 paperwork fee just to have you back as a repeat customer.)  Have the shop check Davidson's.  They usually have the best prices and can order exactly what you want.

You can also go to a local gun club where they have "cowboy" shoots, "silhouette" and other type matches.  Most gun clubs have members that have their Federal Firearms Licence.  They will also a lot of times order you a gun for cost to get you interested in their club.

Good Luck.  Great choice.

P.S.  I grew up in KFalls.  I know what its like to want guns at your age.  I was lucky I had parents who were great enough to teach me how to use them properly, let me use my paper route money to buy a few, and then take me out often to shoot them.

Thanks for the info. I am near Bend.
I am lucky to have great parents too. I own quite a few guns and have ordered 3-4 guns before. My main interest is hunting but I love shooting too. I shoot and hunt almost exclusively with handguns now and have become quite proficient with them. I took my first handgun big game animal this year in Wyoming, a doe speedgoat. I dont know if I can pick up a rifle and hunt with it anymore. I had already taken 4 big game animals with my rifles before I attempted with my handgun. I am much more of a wheelgunner and don't care for semi-autos. I am now thinking about the stainless Blackhawk 357 4 5/8" so I dont have to worry about the vaquero shooting to POA. I would install a wolff spring kit and a belt mountain base pin and maybe a millet rear sight.
Thanks again

Biscuits,

You need to email jcunclejoe@aol.com and get info about the gun club in Bend.  He has local shop that will order guns for him.  He will also take you to the range and let you shoot his silhouette guns.  Once you get hooked on silhouette shooting, your revolver accuracy will greatly increase.

You can learn more about silhouette at http://www.ihmsa.org/.  It is a great sport and I am sure you would love it.  Your parents too.
