Youth Modle for Wife

I am thinking of getting my wifle a Savage Youth in a 7mm-08. She is a  little thing and the borrowed  regular size 25-06 is hard for her to handle. She can shoot it ok, the recoil is no problem, but the bigger gun is harder to carry and get on target. i think the Savage Youth gun would be a good fit for her. I am not familiar with the 7MM-08, how is the recoil with this caliber? This gun will be a mule deer/antelope gun.

7-08 would work fine for deer sized critters. Have your missus go along to the gun store and have her shoulder the rifle to check the fit, preferably with and without a heavy coat
