.22WMR Gruops

Took the Ultra .22mag out today and though the wind was mighty stiff, managed to shoot an O.K. group.I was shooting at 150 yards and shot 1 group at 2 7/8in. Not real good, but not sure what this gun is capable of. I didn't have a very good rest and was more interested with POI than group size. Just curious what kinda groups others have gotten. I am using Rem 33 gr v-max ammo.

When the gun is settled in and without a strong wind no more than 1" at 100 yards maximum. Expect and work for sub 1" moa groups at 100 yards on a regular basis with ammo it likes....<><....

Here is the last 100 yard 2 shot group I shot with my 22 mag ultra.  The scope wasn't sighted in I was just shooting for group using different ammo.

Try a box each of the Winchester black box and Winchester silver box .22 Mag ammo, my .22 Mag Sportster seems tp like it the best, followed closely by the CCI Maxi Mag....<><....

I tried both the grey and black box Winchester, CCI Maxi Mag+V, PMC Predator, and the Rem V-MAX. The Rems out shot all the others by far, and really shine at longer distances! I haven't got the chance to shoot any anything less than a 15 MPH wind since I got the gun sited in. Hopefully I can get a calm day and see how well they group.

Good luck on your next windless day at the range. I happy you have found a bulelt that you like in your H&R .22 Mag.
If you get a chance try a box of the CCI Maxi Mags instead of the Maxi Mag+V's, you may find they shoot well for you. I could not get the Mavi Mag+V's to shoot at all in my gun, in fact they were among the worst shooting for me, and that did not make me happy, I had hope for them as a coyote round. In my particular gun, the regular CCI Maxi Mags shot great, especially for the price!!! Let us know how and when the groups begin to tighten a bit. These guns usually need 100-200 rounds through them before they start to shoot really well. As it is your gun is shooting better than it has to for coyotes!!!....<><....
