Encore Frames

I have an Encore with a 209x50 barrel and a 12 ga. turkey barrel. Both shoot very well. My question is are the frames for the rifle and pistol the same? I would like to get a pistol barrel forend and grip. Is this possible or do I have to buy a pistol frame?  Thanks

Yup, sure are the same. I have a friend who hunts with a pistol for deer in Northern MI in 44 mag, and he has to put the rifle barrle in 7mm and stock on it when he goes to Canada hunting whitetails as they don't allow pistols :x

So the question becomes, why would a guy want or need 2 Encore frames??? If the answer is, "Because you can," forget I'm a novice at this and don't reply.....  :D

I like separate frames so I don't have to switch barrels. I have different stocks and set ups I like for different calibers. Sure I could only have one, but it is just my personal preference. I have 4 Encore set ups right now. :D

I bought a contender frame and a few barrels with the idea that I can just switch and go.  That was 5 frames ago.  It's nice to not have to change frames all the time...

I now have 2 frames and 5 barrels.  Long barrels include the 12 guage, .270 and 209X50.  Pistol barrels include the .44 mag and the .223.

I am at the stage where I don't mind changing barrels or stocks/grips but want to have everything scoped and sighted so the change makes it ready to go.  So, with my theory, buying a barrel needs to also include the purchase of a new scope.
