We are not saying the Stokes replica is or is not an exempt antique.  We are saying we can't see where it meets the the description and until we have a determination letter from ATF, it is not allowed on this board. That's for our protection as well as yours.

You caused no problem nor offended anyone.  On the contrary even though we try to be delicate in enforcing our rule, it may come across as harsh.  That is not our intention at all.  We will change our rule if and when we have a determination from ATF saying the Stoke is an antique.

If we help educate you and keep you from making an innocent mistake, that's good.  Look around our board you will see us  having a good time  making and shooting all sorts of muzzleloading cannons that clearly fall with in the definition and not worrying about running a foul of the law.
