My plan didn't quit work
« on: November 19, 2005, 10:44:36 AM »
I did get up on time, made it out of the house on time, arrived at the lease on time, got in the deer stand on time. The deer didn't show up on time. They waited till 8:30 then it was bang--flop, bang--flop,bang--flop. I finely got my freezer meat. Three does about !25lb, 100lb, and 75lb. The first was about 100yrds the second 150yrds and the third 125yrds. Taken with my 357Max and JPH45's load of 26gr AA1680 and 180 JPH bullet. All hit pretty much point of aim. The first was a head on chest shot the other two was side shots through and through. Didn't find the bullet of the chest shot it was some where I didn't want to dig around in. Two dropped in there tracks the other went a few feet. I have already got a nice 8 point in the freezer so if the wife will let me mabe I can find a big 10 point I know dream on. I am a truly happy puppy.

I don't know about that 357 hellacatcher, I think it is too much gun for you :eek: Think we need to fit you with a rifle that makes you work harder for your shots :wink:  :roll: You keep doing this with your 357 Max and everybody's gonna want one

I'm telln ya'll;

I seen Paul and John (JPH45) shoot those 357 maxi's;
Those guys are deadly with those rifles and Paul has the pictures to prove it!.
Paul called me about 9:00 AM this morning and at first I thought he was joking.
Paul... Very well done!

Good deal.  The department of wildlife in your state should send you a letter of appreciation.  Too many buck only hunters out there.

I just got back from visiting family in Ga over Thanksgiving, and I picked up a hunting reg book while I was there to compare to Ky.  What a difference!  We get 10 days of modern gun in November, one weekend of ML in October and 9 days of ML in December.  We can get 2 deer I think, one of which can be a buck. :?
In Georgia, modern gun season for the southern zone starts in mid-October and ends 15 Jan.  Those poor guys down there are limited to twelve(12) either sex deer.  :roll:   Northern Zone?... they have to stop on Jan 1 LOL

Either there are way to many Deer in some Southern States, or you have better hunting lobbiest :) Pennsylvania has opened up alot on seasons, but still very short and strict compared to some Southern States. good shootin' . Jack.
