Does anyone here use Lake City brass? How is their quality, general consistency, as well as use in developing match loads seem to you? I use them in my 308 currently. I've had excellent accuracy so far, but I'm wondering whether or not they are the best choice for target loads. Thanks.

Are you using Lake City match brass? Or just regular LC military brass. Big difference in accuracy. With regular military brass you can do ok, but you have to match prep the brass and weigh them to get a lot of same length, weight, etc. The Match brass has a O with a + in the middle. Kinda looks like a scope and crosshairs. They are the best bet for accuracy loads with LC stuff. If you want real accuracy, you need Lapua, Norma, etc.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm pretty sure most of them have the "crosshairs" on them. I'll have to check later tomorrow.

The "zero with crosshairs" emblem is the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) standardization symbol. It's found on NATO standard calibers: 9x19, 5.56x45, and 7.62x51 headstamps.

As for LC brass quality, the LC Match stuff is excellent, and is the source for military competition ammunition.
