Measurements of the case and bullet will identify your cartridges.

The markings indicate that the cartridges are of Scandnavian origin.  My guess would be Norwegian or Swedish 6.5x55.  The word "patroner" is similar to "patronen" ; German for "cartridges"

6.5 M-S would probably be in German writing.

Do a search for "Skarpa Patroner ammo" an ammo for collectors site will come up click on it schroll down the list, its finnish sounds like 6.5x55??
COLLECTOR STUFF!!!! Don't use it has a collector value!!!! I just hate it when you find out your ammo is worth more left unshot?? I have boxes of winchester 12ga paper shells like new in the ammo case just sitting along with a case of german marked 8X56r ammo too even the stripper clips have nazi eagles. You have to inspect your ammo very carefully for german markings if its german 8mm for sure. Sorry to go off the path but its true these markings are small but do add value to our ammo.

Thanks John   and    Bill  .I got the ammo this morning it is in wedge shaped boxes. It was a bargan no mater what only paid  $10 for the 3 boxes plus igot 3 boxes of 22 shorts. 1box winchester super speed (staylnless Kopperklad) 1 boxPeters high velocity Filmkote.  1 box remington Kleanbore. So i think i got a good deal. Rim fire boxes in execelent shape but the guy opeaned the other 2 sealed boxes of 6,5 before i could stop him. Still a god deal anywase.  Dave :-D

Thank's for sharing that with us I'm just sitting here "bored" and had some fun searching and finding out what you had??        BigBill

The only problem is sometimes trying to search you have to mix up the words like picking a few at a time to search. I choose something like  "Ase V8 1953 6,5  15 ST utan Laddam" first and it all came up in finnish language then i took "Skarpa Patroner ammo" and it came up again only better I could read it. Funny how this computer thing works but it will come up somehow you just have to play for a while it was fun. I'm still learning about computers.

Plus i like to look at prices some sites give top dollar prices then between the gunsamerica/wholesalers if they have them you can figure a fair price at shows will be to pay.                                                            BigBill
