It's a good question but as far as I know no one has a good answer. He just kinda dropped off the face of the earth. Perhaps litterally so. Even his website is gone.

What I know is this: He was having some marital problems for a while. That issue seemed to have cleared up but he lost his job. They moved from the home he had lived in for years to another state I believe. His wife's health got really bad, don't recall the details.

About this time he just disappeared from the internet as far as I can tell. Even the website he took so much pride in was taken down. I'd sure like to know what happened to the old rascal myself, I liked him real well and thought maybe some day we'd get to meet and share a hunt and some BS'ing together.

His e-mail address of many many years no longer reaches him, the phone numbers I had for him don't either. I'm not at all sure just what it all might mean.

Sorry to hear that, it does indeed sound like hard times came to ol' Coug.

I got a kick out of his stories and figured he would be a hoot to hang with, but I doubt anyone would have been able to keep up with him on the BS.

I certainly hope that he's headed for better times.

Had some good conversation with Coug as well over the years.  He was fun to talk with on net.  Hope he's well.

I stop by here now and then, hoping he might have surfaced and wrote something new. I sure enjoyed his stories and his website. Last I heard, he had sold the new mountian top home and moved to a log cabin by a trout stream. No mention as to why or anything about Ina. He was complaining that a bear was raiding his garbage, and how he was going to deal with it.

If anyone knows anything, please let us his fans know!
