new to me, Ruger #1B in 25/06 Stainless/laminated

Just sent the check off to a guy back in Georgia for a barely used #1 with a Sightron 4X16X42 on it. Thought it would make a nice addition to the RSI I have in 30/06.

The guy whose selling the rifle sent a few pictures of it. It looks fantasic.

Makes me laugh, I decide to do this and it has to happen now (the kid in me). I even sent the check express so we could get it done faster. NOW NOW NOW !!!!!

Anybody ever shot any of those Barnes XLC bullets? Thought I'd give them a try if they make them for a 25/06.

Yes I've tried the Barnes bullets. Both the XLC and the standard X in several calibers and different rifles. I've not yet found a combination accurate enough for hunting use however. Most folks say some guns love them and some hate them. So far every gun I've tried them in seem to hate them.

guess I'll have to give'em a try. I'll get back to everyone once I get the rifle and find an accurate factory round. Thanks for your reply

Rifle got here today. It's as nice as  the pictures showed. I will be having to get an offset rear scope ring to bring that target scope back a little. On 16 power I almost have to put my eye on the scope (kidding about that) but one definately has to stretch the ole neck out to get a full picture.

Oh, and it goes bang... that's always a bonus.
