If u dig a hole to china and shoot thru it at the right time u can shoot into the year of the chicken..assuming you are ..or they i mean...are in the year of the horse at the time your bullet crosses EDC (Earth Dead Center)..then you have existed (your bullet i mean) in two years simultaneously.

Shooting into the future and vension stew...
« Reply #31 on: January 09, 2006, 09:17:05 AM »
'Yote, you're a hoot.  Are you the same one who shared a venison stew recipe on the old Marlin forum?  It involved onion, tomatoes, mushrooms, and 3-bean salad.  If you're the same Coyote Hunter, would you re-publish the recipe?  I could cook some while I'm waiting for my bullets to impact tomorrow.

Yup, that's me.

The concoction was invented when I was single and had about 6” of counter space in my kitchen.  Had a real need for one-pan dishes and wanted something that at least resembled a well-balanced meal.

The recipe was always more ‘to tasteÂ’ than ‘a cup of this and a cup of thatÂ’.  So vary the proportions accordingly.

By the way, I call it ‘SlopÂ’ but my wife doesnÂ’t like that.  She prefers to call it ‘SlumgullionÂ’.  I looked that up on the web once and discovered ‘SlumgullionÂ’ literally translated means ‘Sludge from the bottom of the sewerÂ’ or something along those lines.

The way I prepare it the result is like chili in consistency but not in taste.  Eat with a spoon and sourdough bread if you have any.  Like potato salad, taste improves after it sits for a day or so in the ‘fridge.  Freezes well – we freeze some every year and use the resulting blocks to keep things in the cooler cold.

I make mine in the same pan I make spaghetti in.

HereÂ’s the general idea:

1-2 pounds ground lean meat, browned.  Drain if you like.

Then add the rest and simmer:

2 big cans stewed tomatoes.  Diced or whole as you please.  Or as you have in your pantry.
2 cans tomato paste.  Or sauce.  Or both, which is what I usually do, which makes it 4 cans total.
2 cans 3-bean salad, juice and all.  The kind WITHOUT garbanzo beans.  This gives the concoction a sweet-sour taste.
1 can kernel corn, drained, or frozen equivalent.
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 can yellow beans, drained (I like the color)
2 large onions cut in large pieces (I make 3 slices then cut the slices in a tic-tac-toe grid)
More onions when the wife isnÂ’t looking
Fresh, sliced mushrooms are OK
A capful of extra vinegar if desired – to taste
A smashed garlic clove if you must – I think I like it better without
A dash or two of Worcester sauce

Avoid green pepper – IÂ’ve found it really detracts from the overall taste.  I like green peppers a lot, but not in this.

You get the idea – if it tastes good, use it.  This stuff is a big hit every year and makes a great, easy to fix dinner in camp – just thaw and heat.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the recipe!  I had made it up a few times in the past, but I had lost the recipe, and didn't want to leave out anything.  It's great stuff!   :D

If you shoot to far into the past, you may hit and kill your father!  This would cause you to cease existing in present time.  But if this happened, you would be OK.  You see, if you ceased to exist, the bullet would not be fired into the past by you, and your father would be OK, and thus you would be OK.  So go ahead and shoot into the past all you want without worrying about hitting your dad.

What happens if I shoot with rotation of earth and the bullet goes into tomorrow and it ricochets backward does it go into yesterday.

You could even take care of it the day it gets there so it will never really have been a problem.  What a deal.

Forget tomorrow. I am hoping that the 45/70 that I am about to purchase is powerful enough to shoot into next week!

Who needs a rifle for that??  My dad threatened to knock me into next week all the time! :)  Knowing him, I don't doubt that he could have done it too.  Sounds to me that all I need to do is take him along with me...

Some people's children...  so they do make these things called time bombs, they work.  Or rockets with guidance system, also works.  I kind of like the point, click, boom, plop of guns.  Very efficient, you lose efficiency with days of travel.

« Reply #51 on: April 13, 2006, 09:10:07 AM »
I've read this thread with interest for several weeks now.......I love it. I have however actually solved this delima.

Here is the scene, what is the answer? and yes it is possible.

Hunter standing on point A, shoots bear, wolf, ect standing on point B. Bullet actually kills target yesterday, 4 hours earlier......how did this happen and what load was used? :)

I was wondering what whizzzed by my head the other day!  I thought I heard a shot on Monday and on Tuesday I experienced a noise(like a whizzing bullet) going past my right ear.  Please let me know when you plan to shoot again, so I can go back in time and avoid this occuring again.

If shooting one direction, based on roatation of the earth will cause a hit yesterday, can we not just change directions and hit someone tomorrow?

I just read thru this today and you guys are a hoot!

I'm going to check back in tomorrow and read any updates on this post...but then...what if tomorrow is actually today? Does that mean I already know what has been posted before it's actually posted?

I have to go back and re-read these post again so I can understand if what I just read is true or just made up. So that I know where I am....is it today?? or now?? or tomorrow??  Or yesterday??
