Teh BIGGEST deer of my!!!

This is my first post. But it is the BIGGEST deer of 34 years of bowhunting. So here go's. He came in at 35 yars, on the WRONG trail, of coarse following a doe. But i shot a doe a week ago for the freezer. So i did not want one more this early in the season. From the time i saw him to the time i shot was under 30 secs. And thank god for that or i would have shot a arrow off his rack. Thank's guys, I am still in a daze. I took it to my taxidermist and we green scored it at 170 6/8 gross and 169 4/8 net.


I put the score sheet up i don't know if you can make it out.
 beams were 27 and 26 3/4
 bases were 5 1/8 and 5 1/4
g-2s are 13 3/4 and 13 1/2

i nailed a ripper back in 99.  when i tell the story,  my pulse still quickens and i start talking really fast.  i can still tap that rush after 6 years.   it is a great feeling.  

i was "high" after the kill for a solid week before i started to calm down.  i would wake up in the middle of the night giggling.    

enjoy yourself.  it may not happen for a while;  then again,  it could happen again really fast.
