Mueller on 22 mag.

Glad that I found this forum...real informative. With the many positive reports that I have read about Mueller scopes and with Optic Zone I decided to give them a shot. A little info on gun and hunting need is in order. First off the scope will be going on a Rem 597 22 mag. laminated heavy barrel....Secondly I will be mainly hunting predators, ( fox, bobcat and such), from real close to maybe 100 yards. The shots may come quickly so a adjustable objective is not desirable..or so it would seem. Mueller offers a 3-9 and 3-10 in there sport dot series that seem appealing so which one is the way to go? Why would 1x and 4 mm more be needed? Plus give me a heads up on which set of Zee rings I would need to order for each.

Welcome to GBO!!! :D  I think I'd be more inclined to go with the 2-7x32 Multi-shot, great little scope and the price is right. It's parallax free at 75yds. Dunno on the rings, mediums for sure if you get the signature zees, you might be able to get away with the low zees, though. Mediums are .270" tall, low are .150" tall from the top of the base to the bottom of the tube. The objective bell on the 2-7x is 1.55".
