SIG GRIP CHANGE

I am Going to change the grips on two Sig pistols, a 239 and 220.
I have read that this can be tricky because of the spring behind the grips.
Is there a trick?
Is there a need to know how too?
Is there a trick to removing the grips?

I suspect your mean the decocking lever spring. If you know it's there most of the battle is won. Its' retained by the hooks and the left grip. Check the parts blow up..  If the guns been monkeyed with I sometimes disassemble in a cardboard box. Cut a couple of arm holes and cut a view port in the top with a plexiglass cover. If theres an automatic disassembly (parts explosion) they'l all stay in the box!! I've never had any major problems with the SIGs..  Great pistols!! Good luck..
