Traded my 35 REM Contender on a 308 Encore which I am very pleased with,it shoots excellent groups. My only gripe is the distance between the grip and the trigger is too far it,s really a stretch for me to get proper trigger contact. This is no big problem on the range shooting from a rest but under hunting conditions, especially in cold weather with gloves on it becomes a issue.Does anyone know if there is a after market grip that would move my finger closer to the trigger.Any info would be appreciated.

I don`t like Encore`s grips either.
Doesn`t Pachmayr offer similar grips for the Encore as they have for Contender?

I just had Bullberry make my son a smaller walnut grip for his Encore.  He had the same problem.  We faxed an outline of his hand to Bullberry.  Problem solved. Check www.bullberry.com.

I think Ole Georgia Jim makes custom wood grips for the encore now.  His website is all contenders, but I thought I saw Jim's furniture on some Encores on another site.

Check out Denzel Roberts out of Houston.  He will make grips to fit your specific hand size and does grips for the Contender, G2, and Encore.
