I've only been reloading shot shells for a couple of years, but it didn't take me long to find out that I prefer the remington hulls MUCH better.

I use both AA and Remington and have no real preference. Older AAs were a lot better than current ones it seems to me. But I don't reload turkey loads. They are just too dang cheap and you shoot too dang few of them to bother. Just buy them. What's to practice? You're shooting a shotgun at a stationary target.

But iffen ya wanna just shoot it do some with cheaper shells. Pattern test to find the shell you want to use, buy in a supply and use them to hunt. Do anything else with another load.

IHB, AA or STS both work nice in trap loads and even Fed hulls give me good patterns out of my trusty 870 Xpress. I think you may want to look at the published recipes for your powder and see what is listed, that may well determine what hull, wads, etc you will want to use
