Gentlemen,

The Winchester M1 Garand Contract W-852-ORD-4622 received another Supplement number 11 for more M1 Garands to be built by Winchester.
What was the number of M1 Garands ordered by this Supplement 11 ?
Hint: First shipment was on 12/4/42 received 241 M1 Rifles.
Should be Easy

The orginal order from Winchester for the M1 garand was for 65,000 and supplement #5 was for 60,000 more and it ended on 12/4/42.  The cost of each rifle was $83.71. :eek:

I see you sell CD's about the history on the garands?

Gentlemen,

The answer to this quiz is as follows:

This Supplement called for the production of 96,213 M1 Winchester Garands.
On 8/6/43 the order was completed.

ps D MAM the cd are only footage by the Singal Corps of the making of the M1 Garand. The books are the Ordnance files by date.
