CONGRADULATIONS !
You have made a good decision.  Dan Wesson stainless models are top of the line.  I have a 715 and 744 and they serve me well. :D

If the .357 feels like a monster just wait 'til you grab hold of a large frame .44.  Sweet!

Welcome aboard.

Mr. DB:  When you get your 44 Mag, you should expect more weight.
However, weight has advantages against recoil in large calibers.

I've been hunting with a stainless Dan Wesson 44 with an eight inch barrel for many years and still absolutely love it. Just bought a 357 blued pistol pack and am really happy with that as well. I don't think you will be disappointed with yours.

Mr.DB, Have you had opportunity to shoot your 44 ? I have been hunting with my 744 with 10 inch heavy vent rib barrel for years. I have been tempted to try my alternate 6 inch barrel, but I am spoiled by the extra length sight plane. Our deer season ended today, but I may try rabbits with my 715 and lots of luck !  :)

oh yes,I had a chanse to shoot it last week.It is .357  and .44 will come soon or later too.It is a great gun, little heavy (8" brl) but very accurate and plesant to shoot.Right now I will try to get the whole set together, with a case, 2",4" and 6" brl HV and set of tools. It looks like it`s going to take some research and time but I`m in no hurry. This gun I bought at the Gun Broker and I`m very happy  ,I can`t even see the ring on the cylinder?Shot very little possibly? 8) However,I`ll keep looking for a nice .44 DW too. There is some on the GB right now but I have to wait to get some cash together.I just bought a nice Springfield GI 45 SS,NIB still in the plastic soaked in oil  .

I have to warn you that owning Dan Wessons is habit forming.  I own  three of them.  Have one in .357 MAG, one in .22 LR and one in .445 Super Mag.  All are fine shooters and have given me years of service from use in plinking to use as a duty gun.  If you really want to handle a monster get a .445 Super Mag.  Mine has accompanied me on two trips into the wilds of Alaska.  Your 715 should give you years of reliable service.
Take care and keep you powder dry.  :D
