I know some of you are looking for rimfire barrels

E-bay has a 17 hmr , 17m2 and a 22 mag listed .

Thanks!, I did however just come home from a trip to Maine last week with a Sportster in .17 Mach2!!!....<><.... :grin:  :grin:

yu lucky dog ive decided the mach 2 will be my next one to purchase ive been so impressed with the 17 HMR performance i think id like the mach2 also ,what did u give for it? new?

It's exactly as new, I thought it was either on sale or marked wrong at $110 but when I asked they said it was a used gun ( :? ). I thought about it and since I did not want to argue with them I went back to the store and asked if they could do any better. I bought it for $105.00 plus tax!!!! I really like my .17 HMR and thought I needed this gun also :-D  :-D  :-D !!!!....<><.... :grin:

Thanks Shaner, somedays things just seem to go well. Usually when I wait to think about buying a gun it's GONE when I return :cry: . This happened to me both with a nice Laminate stocked .357 Max (factory), when by the way I was holding the proper amount of store credit in my hand for a Ruger Single Six I had just sold them (I could not get that gun to shoot, at all!!!). And then again just recently with a beautiful Shikari .58 that looked almost new they had for $95.00!!! I also thought about and missed a Huntsman at the same store but that doesn't bother me as much as the first 2 I mentioned. Oh well, I'm happy with the .17 Mach2 and I just got a Leupold scope on E-bay so it's shaping up to be a great Christmas for me!!!....<><.... :grin:

hey sounds good , what power u droppin on the mach ,,  i wish i had a few placeto pick up deals , all the shops here are bigger places, and think used stuff are for makein the mortagage  payment on i guess have yu shot the mach yet i was wonderin about sound?  compared  to others?

I picked up a nice older used "Made in Japan" Tasco 3x9x32 for $20.00. The optics look great and the duplex reticle is in good shape. I never liked the Tasco's but tried an older "Japan" one and it worked out well. So for $20 I bought this one (with lens covers). I may try to mount it today if I can come up with a set of rings that work, if not I will get another set of Millet Angle Locs or try a set of Luepold "Rifleman" rings, anyone out there have any feedback on those Luepold "Rifleman" rings?.
I did shoot a couple of Mach2 rounds out of the new Sportster just to see how loud it was and it seems considerably quieter than the .17 HMR, but that is just an offhand opinion....<><.... :grin:

MSPRet.   I pretty much use the Rifleman rings exclusively now.  I find they are sturdy and mount easy. The high rings are just right for my sighting position and they allow each of my scopes to clear the barrel and hammer.

As far as scopes go I have a couple with 50 mm objective lens and they clear the barrel just fine.

I really was never a fan of aluminum rings.  But a I read a couple recommendations and decided to try them.  I also figured that at about $17.00 a set at Wal Mart, that wasn't too much to invest for a test.  If they didn't prove worthy on the big caliber guns, I could use them on a .22.  I have them on my Handi '06's, .270 and .280's.  No problems to date.

Thanks EVOC ONE, that's what I needed, first hand experience. I rooted around in the gun box and came up with a set of Weaver medium rings and mounted the scope a little while ago. I bore sighted it and am set to go to the range tomorrow if the weather and work on the addittion allows. The next time I am in Wal Mart I will pick up and try a set of Leupold "Rifleman" rings, thanks....<><.... :grin:
