What has your experience been on either of these scopes?   I'm going to put one on my new Ruger 10/22 but which one????  Any advice you can share will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

I can't give you a comparison as I have not handled the bushnell 22 scopes.  I have used one of the Buhnell Sportview though - absolute crap!

I do have a Simmons 22Mag on all my rimfires though.  I think they are a great scope for the money.  They are clear and bright.  I have two of the 22mag 4x, and one of the 3x-9x w/adjustable objective on a couple of 22lr and the variable on my 22 magnum.

I just put one on a CZ452 American comes with its own rings...I mounted it zeroled it at 30 yards put like 25 rounds that I could cover with a quarter...yesterday I got a new set of rings so I took the old ones off put the new ones on and remounted the scope took it out and shot it ...no adjustment needed still 25 rounds covered by a quarter ...this is the New master series 22 mag scope...

What timing! I'm headed down to get another 22 Mag mounted this morning on my NEF 22. I have both of these scopes on 22 Marlins, but feel the Simmons is a little brighter, and quicker to find my target, especially if it is moving. Both are good values for the money. I think if you look thru both you might find a feature you prefer over one or the other. If not, go with the best price. Either will serve very well on a 22 rimfire.

I have the bushnell on my 10/22, it's bright, clear and sharp and has a decent magnification on it. I'd recommend it.

Have always been happy with Bushnell scopes in general but I just put a new 22Mag 4X on my 10/22.  My decision was based on the good write up in American Rifleman (all new/redesigned).  I have to say I am impressed.  Simmons has turned the corner with these scopes and it looks like they may be on their way to filling the "darn good scope for the money" nitch.  With plenty of high quality/high price scopes on the market and lots of junk available for next to nothing; it's good to see someone filling that nitch.

I know this is an old thread BUT, I just replaced a Bushnell 3X9 with the Simmons 22 Mag and what an improvement.  With the Bushnell it looked like I was shooting buckshot @ 50 yds, now I’m getting 1” groups @ 50yrds.  This is on a Marlin Mod 99M1.

I have never had good luck with Bushnell.

I've not been impressed with the number of Bushnell scopes that I've had to replace on customers guns.  I'm even less impressed with Bushnells "lifetime guarantee" and customer service.

When shopping for a sub $100 scope, Simmons is the only choice that makes sence to me.  - JM.

Auto loaders places more stress on a scope due to the bolt clap.!
I would spend a little more & buy a decent scope like the weaver 2-7x rimfire.. FWIW, my $$ would go for a good 4 x fixed power wide angle scope if I intended to simply hunt/plink with the rifle..
