can it be done?

I have a Sterling Arms X-Caliber hand gun in 357 Mag. Can this be rechambered to 357 Max? If so who would be a good person to do this?

Dont know sterling arms.  My bet is no, the 357's Ive delt with just don't have that extra length in the cylinder.

The X-Caliber is a Contender look alike. About the only differance is instead of pulling on the trigger guard to open the barrel you push a button on the frame and pull down on the barrel. Without the trigger guard spur it sure is alot easier on your off hand finger to shoot. I believe barrels were made in 22lr,22mag.,357mag.,and 44mag. Hope this clears things up a little.

If Sterling Arms makes the other calibers in different barrels I would think that they would make the 357 Max. also. If it is like a contender I would think it could be rebored. You'll have to ask a gunsmith. :D
