Pistol grip cap repair

I have a Remington m700 and the plastic pistol crip cap fell off of the stock. It's a wood stock with what appears to be a thin plastic washer between the cap and wood. What's the best way to replace this piece on the gun. What type of glue should I use?

Brownells Accraglas would be best for this repair. Lacking that, any fast-setting colorless (clear) epoxy cement will work well. Your should sand the surfaces using 200 grit wet or dry paper first to improve adhesion.

I thought these were screwed to the stock..but the repair is quite similar.. AcraGlass is great for this kind of repair but I regularly use DevCon 5-ton epoxy for this sort of thing and have had great luck..

Thanks guys. I was thinking about using super-glue but just the thought of supergluing my gun back together just bothered me.
