Omega's First Deer
« on: November 27, 2005, 06:21:06 PM »
:-D I got my first whitetail with a muzzleloader on Thanksgiving morning.
A nice seven pointer, dressed around 135lb. Used 80 grains of 777, Barns 250gr bullet and .25 breech plug conversion. Bushnell Elite 3200 scope.

At 80 Yards slight angle away the bullet passed through left to right. Nice blood trail, 2 in fresh snow didn't hurt, and he did not go far. Best off hand shot I ever made in 30 years of deer hunting.

Want to thank all who have helped me in the past, with my breech plug problems and for the great information you have offered.

I don't post much but do read a lot, thanks again.

Lou

Congrats on the deer, I got a nice doe with my new Omega saturday morning. Sure do love the way them Omegas shoot.
