putting a barrel on a differant reciever??
« on: November 28, 2005, 04:30:24 AM »
i put a ultra 20 ga. on my handi reciever(was not factory fitted) because i don't use the rifle barrel that much and it moves up and down just a wee tiny bit. i put a strip of tape on the hinge pin and it was just enough to lock it up as tight as you please.  is this safe to accuracy tast??? thanks for any info!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got to many but never enough!!!!

buckslayer,
Look at the FAQ sticky at the top of this forum, or just click on this link:

There's ton's of info there. You'll have to scroll through some stuff to get to the stuff about barrels on other receivers, but it is there.

I can't say for sure whether a piece of tape will be safe for test firing, but others have used bits of plastic, or pieces of soft drink cans in the same way, so maybe you can decide from that.
