DakotaElkSlayer: I've had the pleasure of using Marshall Stanton's hardcast bullets and loading data successfully on Boar and Elk hunts using both the 44 Magnum and the 444 Marlin, and the man is right on. His products, his research into the use of hardcast bullets with big bore lever calibers and his incredible results could easily fill a book and become a treatise on, at the least, the 444 Marlin and the 44 Magnum. I feel he picked up on the use of heavy handgun hunting loads where Ol Elmer left off and applied that to rifles as well.
For years I looked for data that would make the 444 perform like it should and dang near gave up hope of doing anything but having to make up my own bullets and try some to see if they shot well enough to use for hunting. Fortunately, Marshall Stanton had accumulated more than 20 years data and experience in just that field that set me off in the right direction. His findings on enhancing the accuracy of a lever gun has worked for all my levers and a couple of my revolvers that needed help. His products are the best I have ever used. His load data is accurate, safe and incredibly effective. I have to go back to his site to see if he has published his work on slow moving easy shootin' loads for big bore levers. JMHO. Mikey.
