Hey everyone, well i was getting tired of looking at that ugly pallet wood stock, so i said what the heck, i have a can of this spray on bedliner that was left over from my jeep, i wonder what it would look like on a stock, plus it would weather proof it pretty good...well i started out with sand paper and scruffed up the finish on the old stocks, taped them off where i didn't want bedliner, hung them in the garage and applied 2 coats of black bedliner, i can't remember the brand but if anyone wants the same stuff pm me or something and i'll go find out, but here are pics....it feels real rough and nice and grippy, it may be ugly to some, but hey it gets the job down, and its non reflective and all...well heres pics....

Makes em look like the synthetics, good job!!  Here's Perklo's pallet wood stock finish job from the FAQ, looks familiar, different finish!!

Looks good. You get all the water benifit of a synthetic, with the heft and solidity every one loves of wood. That stuffs tough too, should prove to be a strong finish for ya.

That is nice.
And I may try it myself.

As a note, I wanted to add something funny. A friend of mine recently sprayed his entire 4X4 truck with the industrial bedliner 1/4 inch thick!
How much more "redneck does it get here in East Texas?!!!
He says driving through the briars and woods hurts it not-so its pretty good common sense, although funny as all get-out.

Do his tires bulge a little more than they used to?  I bet that made his truck weigh in a little heavier than it was before.  :-D

I did a stock on a Browning A-Bolt with this stuff.  I used Duraliner brand from Auto Zone at about $7 for a can.  The gun was dropped out of a tree and the stock was broken.  I bought it and used glass bedding compound to fix the stock, along with some wooden dowels.  I used the bed liner to disguise the Frankenstock look, but it was actually very practical.  Grippy and weatherproof.
