i once owned a navy arms buffalo hunter until it was stolen in 1987, it was a really good rifle took a young water buff with it one shot to the brain he went straight down.i see navy arms has started selling them again anyone no if they are still made by antonio zoli and are they as good as the first ones .for those that have forgot wot they look like here is a pic of the buffalo hunter its the one on the bottom the horns are from the buff i shot with it.

bernie: here an auction site you may run cross the older style navy arms buffalo hunter in 58 cal. I seen them posted here a while back in 58 cal.

The "Buffalo Hunter" was merely a sporter version of the Remington Zouave rifle/musket. Those are more common and probably cheaper. :wink:

I'd rather cut down a Zouave, I'd bet it would be more PC that way. :-D

slamfire it had a thicker barrel than a zouave did compare it to a zouave before it was stolen. val forgett sr used it in africa i used mine to take water buff in northern australia it was very accurate it loved big mini's and heavy loads and was easy to shoot with heavy loads it's weight was heaver than a zouave.
