crimp on center locators?

I don't have the equipment to weld on baseplates so will the crimp on center locators work just as well?
total for this year so far
3 grinners
2 coyotes
4 coons and
1 skunk

Derek, they won't do anything to stiffen a trap frame but they will hold any coyote. They are rated at 600 to 700lbs breaking strength, same as the 3/16 " quick links that many use to attach their traps to cable anchors. Just be sure to get the right size. There are two sizes . One is for 3/4"  wide trap frames like on the #2 and # 1 3/4  traps. The other is for 1" frames for larger traps.
