760 butt stock onto a 7600 receiver?

My brother-in-law shoots a 7600, but does not want a scope.  The gun was a gift so he had no say in the type of gun he received.  He has trouble with eye alignment with the sights due to the Monte Carlo stock.  I am wondering if anyone knows for certain if a 760 butt stock would fit the 7600 receiver.  I believe it would but could use some other input.  Thanks in advance.

It will fit, they didn't redesign the back of the receiver when they redesigned and 'improved'  the gun. Also, if you look online at some of the aftermarket stock manufacturers, you'll find that they show the remington 1100 stock in 20 gauge will fit the 760 & 7600 also.
