Savage 170 pump- sight options?

I have a Savage 170 pump in 30/30 and am wondering if anyone else has one and what they use for sights on it. I posted a similar question on the lever action board about a Marlin 336 and got some great advice. I ended up putting a Williams peep on it and like it.
The Savage is drilled and tapped so a scope would be easy to install, but I'm open for suggestions.

Terry:  I have that same rifle and I have a scope mounted on it and it does fine with it.  We have a Special Child and its his rifle to use deer hunting he can handle it with no problems, it is a caliber that you can get by without a scope on the rifle but he does better with one than with open sights.   JIM
