New to coyotes
« on: December 05, 2005, 10:26:30 AM »
Me and a friend have been hunting foxes at night for the past 4 or 5 years.  We've taken several greys and one bobcat, and last year we called in a coyote that hung up to far out for the old 12 guage.  Do most of you call in coyotes while fox hunting, or are you out there strictly coyote hunting (howling, etc.)  We are starting to get quite a few coyotes around here, and are wondering the best way to call them in.  Thanks for any help.

It will often be the largest predator responding the quickest although it isn't written in stone as a fox may be within earshot of your call while a yote isnt.
By the same token, you may start to see the fox come in much more cautiously once it knows the yotes are there.
