An attempt at posting photos - if it comes thru, it's Bogmaster with a beaver caught on a muskrat house in a #1 stoploss.  Mike

Hi Ray,
Tom & I have each have caught several beaver on rat huts, and also catch many raccoon on the huts in open water. That's why Tom advocates a decent staking system when you're trapping 'rats, especially when using his techniques. You will catch coon, mink & beaver on occasion using his 'rat methods & your stake needs to hold whatever gets caught. Heck, he even caught a beaver INSIDE of a muskrat house once when we were trapping thru the huts on the ice.
