Cabelas dry-plus silent suede jacket
« on: December 05, 2005, 04:10:05 PM »
Anyone here have this jacket? I am looking for a jacket with 3 things in mind..waterproof/quite/warm.

I believe they are waterproof and quiet, but I would like to know about the warmth factor for sitting in a stand all day in say 15-25 degree weather.

I have had one since 1999.  I love it.  The liner can be removed if need be and worn alone.  The worst conditions that I have used it under was snow maching for caribou at -20 with up to 50 mph winds. It was chilly but the coat worked. I often wore it on the Yukon River snow machining. It should be pleny warm enough for the temperatures you want.  Maybe too much if you are active.

Excellent, if it worked well for you in those conditions then it's good enough for me. Coincidentaly, the Yukon is why I am looking toward this jacket.

Thanks Dave

Say, it looks like you are wearing the jacket in your avatar pic, haha :-)

Good eyes!  I am wearing the coat in the avitar.  Blends in well in the fall with the leaf changes.
