Break in is different for everyone, I just shoot my guns and clean them after each secession. You might want to try several different kinds ammo and see which one shoots the best in your gun. I reload for my guns and taylor rounds for each barrel.

As far as the rubber washers, I install the washers where the forearm is screwed into the barrel.

thanks redhawk1, i guess ive been doing the break in right, but ive read so much about break in that it got me thinking if there was anything else i might need to do..
i will try the washers and see what happens.., i have tried several diff. shells, all pretty much the same ..
ive also read that shooting 150 grain is better in the encore rifle barrels is this better than the heavier leads, is this true ? iknow each gun is different but im just a poor ole farm boy and like to hear from others that are more experinced than i am before spending my $s...

i know these questions may sound a little dumb ,  but i have been a bow hunter for 30 years and i am just know getting into the gun thing !!

and need to learn all i can !!!

thanks jeff..
p.s. any more advice would be appreciated !!!

My 7mm-08 wasn't accurate at  first, but I thot I would give it another try this year................to my surprise, it's getting very close to MOA now. Just need to shoot a lot of rounds through some barrels to get them to come around.

the washers help float the forearm away from the bbl ,, if the forearm touches the bbl it can do crazy things to your group !!
