Man! For the last 2 weeks I've been having a grand time. We were really having a great winter though a tad chilly 0 to -25 at my place. Just enough snow to drag a sled while hiking but not enough for most snogo riders to be out. I was getting some traps out, finding moose, wolf, fox and coyote tracks on my trail and enjoying having much of the country to myself. Very few snogos ripping about with noise and stink. But not enough snow for decent snaring or even good standard sets.
And yeah, if there had been more snow I'd have been on my snogo too.
Now its +30 pouring rain and forecast to be +40 tomorrow! (Well later today). Glad I pulled the 2 sets I had going. What a mess. Lots of cars in the ditches this morning, had to change the kids clothes 3 times this evening - playing in the snow they got soaked and their sledding hill is turning to mush.
Oh well. Easier on the heat bill these days but I do long for the winters where it stayed colder the whole time.
