I've had an Encore 209x50 for 2 years now. I have never had any problem with it. Shoots excellent groups with 240 or 250 grain Barnes MZ bullets over 100 grains of APP or 777. I have always thought it to be simple, easy to clean, and enjoy shooting it. My hunting partner bought the Omega and absolutely LOVES it. It SEEMS even easier to clean than my Encore. Now, I've kinda got the "new gun bug" to try out an Omega...but will have to trade in the Encore to keep wife from having a cow. Is this something I should even be considering, or should I just leave well enough alone? One more thing...I will probably never buy any more barrels for the Encore as I have several rifles already, if this matters.
