H&R "Ultra Varmit" in .223....

Just ordered one of these, it has a 24" heavy barrel. Anyone have any hands on with one of these?  What kind of accuracy can I expect?

It had the laminated stock and heavy barrel.
It shot fine, but I have two other 223's and one of them had to go!
I think you'll like it.  Mine shot under minute of angle with no load work done at all (sold it too quickly).
FYI, a 243 I bought for a couple teenagers I take hunting has been "no so good".   Failure to extract, erratic accuracy.  But the 223 was fine.

You are the 3rd person I've talked to that has had problems with that rifle in .243.   hmmmmm..........maybe we are on to something here

Steve357: I own a .223 H&R Ultra 24". With hand loads and good bench technique, it will shoot 1/2 moa grps. I'm well please with the rifle, but don't think it'll be as good as the standard for a varmit rig as it's pretty heavy to carry. Good Shooting   :D  Duce:
