what a beauty. just over 7 lbs and pretty as a picture. i put a washer under the forend screw but the barrel still has a small spot where it meets the forend right at the very end. do they alwyws need to be free floated?

In a word, No, and some don't need the o-ring either. Some shoot better with no o-ring. It's best to shoot it first and see what happens, you may get a real shooter right out of the box, you may have to "fiddle" with it. Congratulations, be safe, and have FUN!!!....<><....  :grin:

I have fired the rifle some with both scope and red dot sight. It works great and is accurate, but I sent it to be drilled for a front ramp. Anyone know how to figure out what height the front sight should be to go with a Williams reciever sight? Thanks.

Download the Williams 2005 catalog, it has instructions on how to determine sight height on page 18.
