by vehicle on residential 20 mph. rd. adjacent to my hunting ground.  I didn't even know such a deer existed.  Ain't that a kick?   Does this stuff happen where you hunt?

9 Pointer mowed down

Yup, it happens all over, not just by you. Here is a 9 pointer that scores 127 3/8ths hit by a car by me, same way, on a side road. The only difference is I'm at the Jersey shore, right on the backside of Barnegat Bay. The area he was hit in, has hardly any woods, just small patches, that can't be hunted, but does support a few deer. I've been past this spot many times, in the wee hours of the morning, and seen deer, including a few spikes, and a 6, many does, but I never knew this deer was around, till I found him on the side of the road.
Sincerely,
 Garry

Wow...Would you look at that tine length...Impressive.  You cannot where I live so the deer here grow as big as the habitate will allow.  I have seen some monsters out there.   A friend of mine is a police officer that used to work midnights...He knew where one of these big bucks were hanging out and took his video camera with him to work one night...He caught that big boy ribbing on a 12" pine tree...Excellent video...The deer was not spooked it just went about it's business and they just walked away casually...These deer do get hit by cars on an occasion.

A huge 12 pointer that my wife and I saw on private land ended up the same way.  We saw him in velvet, and he is the biggest buck I've ever seen alive.  Word spread about him.  One day a buddy shows up at camp with a picutuse of him in back of his friends truck, killed by automobile!  HE scored in the 150s.  All the while, he was living his life within a few hundred yards of my house.

In and around the city of Syracuse, deer flourish, except for the ones who do not avoid the large metal monsters with the two bright eyes.  I have seen some dandies!
Praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition!

Yessir!  I drive all up and down I-90 and see some bruisers in those fields.  Gotta keep my eyes on the road, though.
